Manzoni on target for the Nerazzurri
Atalanta suffered a setback in the final match of the 2024/25 Primavera 1 season as the hosts emerged victorious at the Tre Fontane in Rome.
The match began with the Nerazzurri posing an early threat with two headers from Baldo and Galafassi. In the 19th minute, coach Bosi's side came close to taking the lead with a right-footed shot from outside the box by Manzoni, which hit the top corner of the crossbar, and Manzoni himself took centre stage again with a right-footed curler that went wide. However, it was in the 32nd minute that Roma took the lead with an unfortunate own goal from Rinaldi. Two minutes later, the hosts doubled their lead through Marazzotti, and Coletta made it 3–0 ten minutes before half-time.
Atalanta pulled one goal back in the opening minutes of the second half through Manzoni. In the 59th minute, Cakolli had two chances, both of which were thwarted by the Giallorossi defence at the last moment. However, it was the hosts who scored again in the dying minutes of the match with a penalty converted by Marazzotti.
