Primavera: Cagliari 1-0 Atalanta
On Monday, the Nerazzurri will host Juventus
At the CRAI Sport Center, Cagliari come out on top: on matchday 16 of the 2025–26 Primavera 1 Championship “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti,” the Sardinian side win 1–0 against the Nerazzurri.
The first team to create danger in the opening stages is coach Bosi’s side: around the quarter-hour mark, Artesani unleashes a left-footed shot from outside the box that is comfortably caught by Kehayov, while a few minutes later, in the 18th minute, Mungari tries a left-footed angled shot from the edge of the area that crashes off the post and goes wide. Cagliari respond to the Nerazzurri’s attempts, first with Malfitano’s inaccurate effort that flies high over the crossbar, and shortly after with Hamdaoua’s dangerous trajectory toward the far post that goes just wide. A few minutes before the halftime whistle, the Sardinian defense blocks Baldo’s close-range attempt at the last moment following an excellent cross from the right by Percassi: in Cagliari, the first half ends goalless and level.
At the start of the second half, the Nerazzurri come close to taking the lead with a double chance: inside the penalty area, Baldo’s header is blocked at the last second by the Sardinian defense, while from the same move, Artesani fails to hit the target on a precise cross into the center of the box from the left. The Rossoblù side instead become dangerous through their number 11, Hamdaoua, but Zanchi prevents the hosts from scoring with a decisive save. In the 79th minute, Cagliari take the lead thanks to their number 10: after a curling shot strikes the post, Trepy is quickest to react to the rebound, tapping the ball into the net for the hosts’ advantage. In the closing stages, substitute Camara gets off a dangerous shot from a tight angle, but Kehayov gets his gloves to it. At the end of the 90 minutes, Cagliari win the match 1–0.
On Monday, December 22, coach Bosi’s Atalanta will face Juventus on matchday 17 of the 2025–26 Primavera 1 Championship “Giacinto Facchetti Trophy”: kick-off is scheduled for 13 CET on pitch no. 9 at the Centro Bortolotti.
