Primavera: Atalanta 3-1 Genoa
Isoa, Valdivia and Baldo seal Nerazzurri's victory
At the Centro Bortolotti, on the Primavera 1 Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti MD26, the Nerazzurri secured a 3-1 victory over Genoa.
The hosts started on the front foot and nearly broke the deadlock after just two minutes, when Mouisse’s free kick from the edge of the area flew narrowly over the crossbar. The Nerazzurri continued to press and, in the 17th minute, Mouisse tested the visiting goalkeeper with a first-time effort inside the box following an impressive run down the left by Leandri. Shortly after, Baldo also tried his luck from close range, but his near-post effort lacked power and was comfortably dealt with by the Rossoblù defence.
The breakthrough came in the 28th minute: a slick attacking move saw Baldo find Isoa in the penalty area, and the forward made no mistake, heading home at the far post to give the Nerazzurri the lead. Genoa looked to respond and, on the half-hour mark, Klisys fired over from the right. The Ligurian side eventually drew level late in the first half, as Gibertini tapped in from close range, sending the teams into the break locked at 1-1.
After the restart, Genoa threatened early through Gibertini, who failed to hit the target from inside the six-yard box in the 54th minute. Six minutes later, the Nerazzurri were back in front: Valdivia struck from the edge of the area after a smart cut-back from the right by Bonanomi. The hosts continued to push forward and, in the 76th minute, wrapped up the win as Baldo reacted quickest to the rebound after Lysionok parried Arrigoni’s long-range effort.
At the Centro Bortolotti, the clash between Atalanta and Genoa ended 3-1, as the Nerazzurri returned to winning ways.
