Point apiece at the New Balance Arena against Slavia Praha

Chances galore but Atalanta are held to 0-0

Spoils were shared in Bergamo as the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League League Phase MD3 against Slavia Praha ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Atalanta came knocking twice in the 13th minute, first with Kossounou - whose offensive sortie got walled off by Markovic- and then with De Ketelaere, whose follow-up ranged shot from the edge of the box got deflected out for a corner. On 27 minutes, Zappacosta loosened a weighted daisy-cutter cross setting up Krstović's pounce, with Markovic denying the black-and-blue number 90's point-blank and saving it almost on the goal-line. Set up by De Ketelaere, Krstović doubled down 60 seconds later, turning the Belgian's assist high over the bar. Slavia retorted at the half-hour mark, with Chory who missed the target from a good scoring position. The Nerazzurri returned in kind with chances of their own, with Lookman (whose effort got deflected out by a Czech defender) and then De Ketelaere (a right-footed curler just past the post) trying to find a chink in the visitors' armour, but Slavia held firm. Right before the break the black-and-blue escalation forged ahead with a chance apiece from Lookman (a low angled effort that drifted wide) and Éderson. The final chance of the first half fell to the visitors, though, as Carnesecchi put his foot (or rather hand) down and kept a ranged effort from Moses out.

In the second half, the visitors threatend early on with Provod's free-kick drawing a flying save out of Carnesecchi on 51 minutes before Kusej volleyed the ball out to the right side in the 56th. On 67 minutes De Ketelaere gave Kamaldeen wings to break on the counter, but Markovic thwarted the Ghanian's solo with a timely undercut. In the 78th Sadilek skimmed the top corner with an adge-of-the-box scorcher. The Nerazzurri gave tit for tat in the 82nd as Scamacca nodded Zalewski's cross but a breath over the crossbar. On 84 minutes, Kamaldeen had another go, finishing wide after breaking forward at pace. The Nerazzurri came agonizingly close to the breakthrough 60 seconds later: after gathering a brilliant through ball from De Ketelaere, Scamacca followed suit with a quick-fire shot, forcing Markovic's clutch save. As sand in the hourglass ran out, the game against Slavia Praha ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
