Nerazzurri scorers: Capitanio (2) and an own goal
Atalanta For Special’s 3rd Level team (photo below) defeated Omegna 3–2 in an intense and hard-fought match. The Nerazzurri got off to a flying start: Marco Capitanio latched onto a through ball from Lorenzo Cattaneo and made it 1–0 with a precise low finish. Omegna reacted and equalised on the counterattack, but the substitutions brought renewed organisation and rhythm to the team.
In the second half, Capitanio put Atalanta back in front with a brilliant solo play. The 3–1 came shortly after thanks to an own goal created from a scramble in the box. One minute from full time, Omegna reduced the deficit and reopened the match.
The final moments were managed with maturity and composure, and the final whistle sealed a well-deserved victory that confirms the technical and mental growth of the Atalanta For Special squad.
DCPS 4th Level Championship
OMEGNA INVINCIBILI – ATALANTA FOR SPECIAL 2–7
Nerazzurri scorers: Illanes (3), Valota (2), Lesmo Arrigoni, Testa
A memorable day for Atalanta For Special’s 4th Level team (cover photo), who defeated Omegna 7–2, earning a victory built on clarity, tempo, and excellent teamwork. The Nerazzurri started strong: within the first five minutes, Cristian Illanes scored a quick brace that immediately set the tone of the match. Omegna pulled one back, but Atalanta restored their lead through Paolo Valota, who finished off a perfect one-two with Gianluca Testa, before also making it 4–1 with a well-placed shot.
In the second half, the team welcomed important debuts and fresh energy from the bench. Davide Lupi and Ibhe David added pace and intensity, while Andrea Lesmo Arrigoni extended the lead to 5–1 with a powerful left-footed strike. A rotation between Valota and Illanes brought the striker back onto the pitch, and he capped off a standout performance with a brilliant solo move — completing his hat-trick for 6–1.
The seventh goal came from captain Testa, who struck cleanly from outside the box to seal a commanding performance. In the closing stages, there was room for everyone to get involved, including goalkeeper Luca Lazzari, who made his debut. Omegna scored again in stoppage time, but the result was never in doubt: a comprehensive victory, driven by squad depth, mature play, and a group clearly on the rise.
