International duty: Pašalić wins with Croatia

Thirteen Nerazzurri players have been called up by their respective national teams for the late-September/early-October international window: 12 with their senior sides and one, Relja Obrić, with Slovenia U21s.

Two Atalanta players were in action on the third day of fixtures: Mario Pašalić and Eljif Elmas.

Mario Pašalić’s Croatia secured a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic in Prague, with the midfielder coming on in the 63rd minute.

It was a setback for Eljif Elmas and North Macedonia, who were beaten 3-0 at home by Switzerland. Elmas started the match and played the full 90 minutes.
