For Special at the “Dl’ Uslon” Tournament
First edition of the 7-a-side Paralympic football tournament
A memorable experience for Atalanta For Special, who took part in Borgonuovo Val Tidone (Piacenza) in the inaugural “Dl’ Uslon” 7-a-side Paralympic tournament, organized by FIGC, alongside leading teams from the DCPS 2nd-level championship including Juventus, Torino, Genoa, Lazio, Piacenza, Sassuolo, and Milan.
Led as always by Gianmario Lesmo and his staff, the Nerazzurri experienced a high-level day from a technical, athletic, and educational standpoint, confirming the continued growth of the Atalanta For Special project.
Their opening match against Juventus—one of the tournament favourites—was an intense and entertaining contest that ended in a draw, following a strong Atalanta performance and several promising chances in the second half.
The second game saw a convincing win over Genoa, played with great respect and a strong spirit of fair play, while a decisive 3-0 victory against Piacenza allowed the Nerazzurri to finish level on points with Juventus, narrowly missing out on the final due to goal difference.
In the third-place match against Lazio, Atalanta delivered another solid performance, although two injuries had a significant impact on the final result.
Beyond the scores, the real achievement was the experience itself—another step forward for Atalanta For Special within the highest level of Italian Paralympic football.
