For Special: Juniors finish 4th tier championship unbeaten

Every great victory results from a dream, and that of the Atalanta For Special junior team is no exception. At the start of the season, the group was new and inexperienced, but the determination, will, quality and passion that these boys always brought to the pitch, whether it was a training session or a match, made them grow to such an extent that they finished the DPCS 'Fun&Play' 4th tier championship undefeated.

In their final game of the season, the Juniors faced Cagliari, a respectable opponent who could not match the strength of the Nerazzurri.
The game began and For Special took the lead immediately through Valota, who stole the ball and found the back of the net with a perfect finish.
The opponents' response was blocked in midfield, while the Nerazzurri's counter-attacks allowed the For Special team to make it 3-0 within a few minutes, thanks to goals from Testa and Arrigoni. Carlo Pezzotti scored Atalanta's fourth goal, ending the first half.

At this point, Lesmo changed his line-up to give everyone a chance. The restart brought another goal for Arrigoni, which was followed by Cagliari's first net.
However, the Nerazzurri's pressure was so constant that Carlo Pezzotti scored again to complete his double. After Cagliari pulled another back, the Nerazzurri were not to be denied, as Cavagna, Arrigoni (hat-trick) and Valota all got on the scoresheet for Atalanta.

This was the end of the junior team's journey in their championship. What these boys have done shows that sport is much more than competition: it is growth, friendship, courage and opportunity, but above all, it teaches that together we can achieve unimagined goals.
