Fiorenzuola 2-1 Atalanta Under-23s

MD 31 of the Serie C NOW league saw the Nerazzurri's unbeaten run of 6 consecutive games come to its abrupt end as hosting side Fiorenzuola came from behind to clinch a 2-1 comeback win.

Atalanta's first chance of the game came on 15 minutes through Ceresoli who, after stepping into the opposing box from the left flank thanks to a lovely through-ball from Jimenez, loosened a shot that was eventually deflected out for a corner. As the Nerazzurri laid their relentless siege on Fiorenzuola, coach Modesto's lads broke the stalemate in the 24th minute with Palestra, who finished Jimenez's assist with a first-time angled shot aimed at the far post to give the away side the lead. Right at the threshold of halftime, Vismara performed an A-plus save on Oneto to keep the score at 0-1.

In the second half, the Nerazzurri picked up the threads by racking up goal chances, albeit without finding their scoring ways, with many ranged attempts, Capone's and Jimenez's among all on minutes 51 and 57 respectively. After smacking the crossbar twice, Fiorenzuola levelled the score in the 77th minute through Oneto, who got past Vismara upon finding his way to the ball from a corner kick situation. On 90 minutes Bonfanti burst into the box and found himself face to face with Sozzi, who denied him one-on-one. The hosts eventually took the lead in the 95th minute through Musatti, who saw his ranged shot cleave into the bottom corner also thanks to a slight yet key deflection.
