Inspection ahead of Italy vs Estonia, scheduled for September 5

As part of the lead-in to Italy v Estonia, set to take place on 5 September at the Gewiss Stadium with kick-off at 20:45 CEST and serving as a qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the official FIGC inspection took place today, Thursday June 19, in close coordination with Casa Azzurri -the department responsible for the logistical and organizational support of the Italian National Team - and UEFA.

Structured in two distinct operational phases, the day began with a morning session during which federative representatives focused on key organizational aspects including ticketing, hospitality, marketing, security, and media management. In the afternoon, UEFA’s VOBM (Venue Operations and Broadcast Manage) Pekka Odriozola conducted an in-depth review of the broadcast facilities and communications infrastructures.

Representing the host club at Gewiss Stadium, currently undergoing significant pitch renovations, were General Manager of the Corporate Area Andrea Fabris and Secretary General Marco Semprini, pictured in the cover photo alongside Irma Sanzone, Head of Match Operations for the FIGC.
