DEAcademy: the new season has been unveiled
The initiative involves a growing number of organizations on both a local and national scale
The new DEAcademy season has officially kicked off, with a series of presentation events held on Saturday 13, Sunday 14, and Wednesday 17 September. The affiliation program promoted by Atalanta continues to grow, involving an ever-increasing number of clubs across both local and national levels.
The project is designed to deliver tailored training and development initiatives, structured around four categories of affiliation: City of Bergamo, Province of Bergamo, Italy, and Elite.
To encourage participation and foster direct dialogue, the season launch was spread across three dedicated events:
- On Saturday 13 September, presentations were held for clubs from the Province of Bergamo, followed by the session for Elite clubs.
- On Sunday 14 September, it was the turn of DEAcademy Italia, bringing together clubs from all over the country. To conclude the day, affiliate representatives were welcomed to the Gewiss Stadium to attend the Serie A match between Atalanta and Lecce.
- The final session took place on Tuesday 17 September, reserved for clubs from the City of Bergamo.
Speakers included Roberto Samaden, Head of Atalanta’s Youth Sector (joining remotely), Giancarlo Finardi, Deputy Head of the Youth Sector, and Maurizio Marchesini, Technical Director of DEAcademy.
The presentations provided a valuable opportunity to share objectives, methodologies, and guidelines for the season ahead. They also marked another important step in strengthening the relationship between Atalanta and its affiliate clubs, with a shared commitment to the growth and development of youth football.
