MATCH REPORTS
DCPS Championship – 2nd Tier
INSUPERABILI 0-2 ATALANTA FOR SPECIAL
Atalanta’s scorers: Probo, Riva
Atalanta For Special's 2nd-level team (cover picture) finished the season on a high note with an excellent 2-0 victory over Insuperabili. Determination, constant pressure, and quick passing were the key ingredients in an intense, well-played match.
The first half ended 0-0, with both teams evenly matched and Atalanta For Special holding a slight edge in possession, but without finding decisive openings. In the second half, Atalanta changed pace and broke the deadlock: Giacomo Probo finished a team move with a powerful, precise strike. Just two minutes later, Renato Riva doubled the lead with a low, accurate shot from the edge of the box.
In the final stages, the Nerazzurri managed the game with maturity, controlled the opponent’s reaction, and even came close to a third goal. The victory allowed Atalanta For Special to finish just behind second place, securing a top-four spot in a more competitive tournament than in previous seasons.
Numbers speak for themselves: the best defense in the group, conceding only eight goals, and three narrow defeats. A record that reflects a solid, improving squad capable of competing at a high level.
DCPS Championship – 3rd Tier
INTER 4-2 ATALANTA FOR SPECIAL
Atalanta’s scorers: Bianchino, Masserini
An intense and eventful match for Atalanta For Special’s 3rd-level team (pictured above) in the Lombard derby against Inter. The Bergamo Nerazzurri started with high aggression, pressing, and strong character, immediately creating a great chance for Mateo Virgillito, who unfortunately missed.
On Inter’s first real attack, some defensive lapses allowed them to take the lead, and shortly after they doubled their advantage following a turnover. The For Special team responded thanks to substitutions and the energy from the bench: the squad grew into the game and reopened the match with a brilliant solo effort from Matteo Bianchino, who scored an unstoppable shot from distance. The momentum was on Atalanta’s side, and the equalizer came from Gianmarco Masserini, who finished a team move with speed and precision.
At 2-2, the momentum seemed to shift, but during their best moment, tensions and insecurities resurfaced: Inter scored twice in three minutes, taking the score to 4-2. In the final minutes, the For Special team tried until the last whistle, but the Inter goalkeeper proved decisive.
Despite the result, the team delivered a performance reflecting a squad that approached a high-level championship with commitment and seriousness. It was a challenging first year, but the overall path is positive: the club is already looking ahead, aiming to strengthen mental resilience to fully harness the team’s technical potential.
DCPS Championship – 4th Tier
INTER 4-6 ATALANTA FOR SPECIAL
Atalanta’s scorers: Lesmo Arrigoni (4), Asperti (2)
Atalanta For Special’s 4th-level team (puctured above) continued its excellent form with a thrilling 6-4 victory over Inter, led by Andrea Lesmo Arrigoni’s haul and a brace from Andrea Asperti.
Despite a squad weakened by last-minute absences, the Nerazzurri started with grit and determination: Asperti opened the scoring, followed by two strikes from Lesmo Arrigoni, giving Atalanta control heading into halftime.
In the second half, the introduction of two third-level players shifted momentum, allowing Inter to pull a goal back and keep the game wide open. Atalanta responded with confidence: Asperti completed his brace, and Lesmo Arrigoni scored again under pressure. He then sealed the win with a powerful finish after a quick exchange with Asperti, leaving no doubt about the result.
A competitive, fair, and high-quality match that reflects the team’s current form and showcases a squad capable of adapting, persevering, and winning together.
