DCPS championship MD7: all the results from the For Special sides
Two wins and a game postponed
In the 7th round of the DCPS championship, Atalanta For Special’s 2nd and 4th teams kept their momentum rolling, clinching wins over Pavia and Fiorentina, respectively. The 3rd team’s clash with Villa Cortese, however, was pushed back to the next fixture on February 14.
At the Angelo Moratti Sports Center in Ossona, the Nerazzurri put their winter break work to full effect under the guidance of Gianmario Lesmo and his coaching team—Walter Probo, Aurelio Birolini, Alfredo Locati, Perry Brignoli, Gioachino Marconi, Leonardo Marcassoli, Corrado Carrara, and Luana Franchina—turning preseason drills and tactical sessions into solid performances on the pitch.
MATCH REPORTS
DCPS Championship - 2nd Tier
PAVIA 0-2 ATALANTA FOR SPECIAL
Atalanta's scorers: Cordozo, De Sousa
Atalanta For Special’s Second Level side extended their fine run in the DCPS, following up last week’s impressive win over Milan with another composed and clinical performance against Pavia.
From the first whistle, the Nerazzurri dictated the tempo with fast, incisive football, testing Pavia’s defense time and again—Pezzotti particularly lively in creating chances. The breakthrough came midway through the first half, a slick team move sparked by Probo, expertly shaped by Eklou, and neatly finished by Cordozo—a textbook display of the side’s collective style.
After the break, Atalanta picked up right where they left off, doubling their lead through Nataniel De Sousa, the result of a polished build-up that started from goalkeeper Carrara. The Nerazzurri continued to press, hitting the woodwork and forcing saves, including a crucial penalty stop by Carrara, who kept his sheet clean.
The win over Pavia was another statement of maturity, showcasing the team’s growth, tactical intelligence, and rock-solid teamwork—a Nerazzurri outfit very much in sync and in form.
DCPS Championship - 4th Tier
FIORENTINA 2-5 ATALANTA FOR SPECIAL
Atalanta's scorers: Lena (2), Arrigoni, Asperti, Valota
Atalanta For Special’s Fourth Level squad continued their impressive run with a commanding win on Fiorentina’s turf, consolidating their spot near the top of the table.
Lorenzo Lena broke the deadlock with a brilliant brace: the first goal came from a dazzling solo effort, the second a sharp finish after a pinpoint assist from Gianluca Testa. Just before halftime, Andrea Arrigoni added a third with a powerful left-foot strike, putting the Nerazzurri firmly in control.
After the break, Fiorentina pulled one back, but Atalanta responded immediately. Andrea Asperti, released in behind by Alessandro Campi, slotted home with calm precision. The finishing touch came from Paolo Valota, rewarded for a tireless display with a thunderous, accurate strike to seal the victory.
A late second goal for Fiorentina did little to change the outcome of a match thoroughly managed by the Nerazzurri. The win highlights Atalanta’s tactical intelligence, depth, and ability to maintain high standards even with key absences.
The Third-tier team (pictured above) will make up the postponed match on February 14.
