Atalanta U23s Edge Reggiana 4-3 in Caravaggio Thriller

The Nerazzurri claimed an important 4-3 victory over Reggiana at the Stadio Comunale in Caravaggio, coming out on top in a thrilling seven-goal encounter. Captain Guerini proved the match-winner with his 84th-minute strike, securing all three points for Atalanta U23s on Matchday 13 of the 2026/27 Serie C Sky Wifi season.

A goal-filled first half unfolded in Caravaggio, where Reggiana took the lead through Cavaliere in the 10th minute. Atalanta U23s responded in the 20th minute, with Zanaboni pouncing on a series of fortunate ricochets inside the box to slot home the equaliser. The Nerazzurri grew in confidence and completed the comeback in the 37th minute, as Diao capitalised on a defensive mistake while Reggiana were attempting to clear their lines to make it 2-1. Five minutes later, Atalanta added a third when Diao played the ball into the middle of the box, where a deflection off a Reggiana defender sent it into the net. The visitors pulled one back deep into first-half stoppage time through Henry, bringing an eventful opening 45 minutes to a close with the score at 3-2.

The second half began with Reggiana drawing level almost immediately, as Portanova struck directly from a set piece in the 49th minute to make it 3-3. Both sides continued to push forward in search of the lead, with Atalanta U23s coming close to restoring their advantage in the 77th minute when Diao fired narrowly wide from inside the box. Two minutes later, Henry threatened at the other end with a volley from inside the area. The decisive moment arrived in the 84th minute, when captain Guerini made a surging run into the box from the right and beat the Reggiana goalkeeper with a superb finish to seal a dramatic 4-3 victory. His late strike secured three valuable points and capped off a determined performance from the Nerazzurri.
