Nerazzurri winners in Rieti after defeating Napoli 3-0 in the final
A roaring success for Atalanta U17s, as coach Luca Bellingheri's Nerazzurri came out on top of the prestigious international Scopigno Cup in Rieti.
In the final, the Atalanta youngsters cruised past Napoli 3.0 with goals from Cavalleri and new arrivals De Sabbata and Heidemann. The road to the final saw the team top the group after a 13-0 win over Rieti and a 2-2 draw with Fiorentina, before seing off Japanese side Vegalta Sendai 3-1 in the semifinal.
This marks Atalanta’s second triumph in the tournament, after their first in 1997, and comes just a year after falling just short in the 2023 final.
