Atalanta to play the Coppa eFootball Italia
The KONAMI tournament attracting pros and fans alike
Atalanta, in conjunction with the six further eFootball™ partnering clubs in Italy, are to partake in the Coppa eFootball Italia (eFootball Italian Cup), the official tournament organised under the banner of KONAMI attracting pros and fans alike.
Fleshing the format of the tournament out, each eSports team representing their respective KONAMI partnering Clubs will comprise three players fitting the following profiles: the first one is bound to come from the Academy of each Club, the second one will be picked among the pro players currently enlisted in the eSports roster of each Club, the third will be an actual fan drafted through an online qualifying tournament to select the most adept; thus ensuring a unique make-up for each team on the grounds of such a quaint melting pot of qualities, backgrounds and skills.
Qualifying rounds and in-house casting for the teams representing each Club, together with the unfolding of the tournament, are all set to take place in stages staggered between December 2022 and the end of April 2023. The qualifying stage is scheduled for next February and will be followed by the knockout stage (bound to last until the end of April 2023).
With both the Academy player and the pro player to be shortlisted through an in-house casting process, eFootball™ will host an online in-game tournament open to all Italian players instead. The aforementioned eFootball™ 2023 event, under the name of Konamici, will be exclusively released to the Italian Market.
To enter Konamici, all players shall register themselves to compete online. The best participants will then be determined via the online ranking. The top finishers for each club will then move on to the knockout stage to be played online. Eventually, the final winner for each club will be drafted to complete the squad together with the Academy player and the pro player.
