Nerazzurri call-ups for World Cup Qualifiers & friendlies
Here are the first-team players to have been called up by their respective national teams for the early October international break, which will feature the World Cup qualifiers and a handful of friendlies:
Marco Carnesecchi has been named by Italy for the two qualifiers against Estonia (Tallinn, Saturday October 11) and Israel (Udine,Tuesday October 14).
Charles De Ketelaere will join Belgium, who are set to play North Macedonia in Ghent on Driday, October 10, followed by a trip to Cardiff to face Wales on Monday, October 13.
Berat Djimsiti will represent Albania for matches against Serbia (Saturday, October 11 in Leskovac) and the friendly against Jordan (Tirana, Tuesday October 14).
For Sweden, Isak Hien will feature in two home fixtures as the Blågult face Switzerland on Friday, 10 October in Solna, and Kosovo on Monday, 13 October in Gothenburg.
Nikola Krstović has been called up by Montenegro, who are away to the Faroe Islands on Thursday, 9 October for a qualifier, before hosting Liechtenstein in Podgorica for a friendly on Monday, 13 October.
Ademola Lookman is set to don Nigeria's colours in games against Lesotho ( to be played in South Africa on Friday, 10 October) and Benin (Tuesday, October 14 in Uyo).
Mario Pašalić will be in action for Croatia with the Vatreni taking on Czech Republic in Prague (Thursday, October 9) and Gibraltar (Varaždin on Sunday, 12 October).
Lazar Samardžić will be involved in the matches against Albania on Saturday, 11 October in Leskovac, followed by a trip to Andorra for their match on Tuesday, 14 October in Encamp.
Rounding out the list, Kamaldeen Sulemana has been selected by Ghana: the Black Stars will first play against the Central African Republic on Wednesday, 8 October in El Jadida, Morocco, and then host Comoros in Accra on Sunday, 12 October.
Relja Obrić has received a call-up to the Slovenia U21 national team for the upcoming qualifiers for the 2027 UEFA Under-21s European Championship: Slovenia will face Israel on Friday 10 October at 18:00 CEST in Budaörs, Hungary, before taking on Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday 14 October at 18:00 CEST in Koper.
