A double win for the Seniors, with the Juniors beating Cagliari 3-0

A perfect three out of three for the two Atalanta For Special teams in the DCPS league MD5: as for Tier-3 the Senior, who also played and won their rescheduled match against Invincibili 6-1, came out on top 4-1 against Valle Olona. Moving on to the fourth tier, the Juniors cruised to a 3-0 victory over Cagliari.

The matches took place at the Bettinelli Sports Center in Milan, with expert guidance from coach Gianmario Lesmo and his assistants, Walter Probo, Aurelio Birolini, Roberto Birolini, Alfredo Locati, and Gioachino Marconi.

First match of the day and the first win for the Nerazzurri, who overcame the tough Valle Olona side at the end of a hard-fought and riveting game. Atalanta For Special hit the ground running and hit the visiting defence with relentless pressure to crack i open and break the deadlock with a brilliant team move finished by Capitanio. The second goal followed suit, with Capitanio again finding the net from a perfect Cardoso assist.

Thanks to the fresh forces brought into the field by the substitutes, the tempo also remained high throughout the second half as the Nerazzurri made it 3-0, with Virgillito finishing at leisure after a brilliant one-two with Probo and Caccia. Althought the visitors tried their hands at setting up a comeback; their efforts proved unconducive with the Seniors, with captain Mirko Bernini at the helm, shutting down every attempt before Masserini put the game to bed with the final goal.

Also coming out on top in the rescheduled MD4 match against Invincibili Omegna, the Senior side rounded off this weekend's string with their second win of the day: thanks to the several changes made to the lineup chosen for the previous Valle Olona game, coach Gianmario Lesmo and his staff gave everyone a chance to shine, with the team delivering in spades. Daniel Caccia opened the scoring with a brilliant strike and quickly doubled the lead, but the Invincibili didn't throw in the towel and pulled one back just before halftime by capitalizing on a defensive lapse.

In the second half, the Nerazzurri upped the ante and within minutes, Marco Campo added another goal assisted by Paolo Valota before Matteo Virgilito sewed up the black-and-blue poker by going solo on the counter after a successful retrieval. Worked up by the Nerazzurri's pressing, the visitors conceded again, first from a long-range strike by Ulisse Pezzotti and then from a brilliant effort by Gianmarco Masserini, who slotted his shot into the bottom corner after winning a challenge.

After a somewhat hesitant start, the Nerazzurri opened the scoring thanks to Al Fharan Youssef, who was set up by a great pass from captain Bitetti. Upon featuring the scoreboard, the same Ahmed Al Farhan then made his debut in between the three sticks, allowing Emanuel Bombardieri to take charge in midfield. A few minutes later, it was Bombardieri who struck the second goal with an unstoppable daisycutter. Despite keeping the pressure up in an attempt to bridge the divide, the hosts' forcing didn't pan out. In the final minutes, Gianluca Testa sealed the 3-0 win, scoring from an assist by Alessandro Campi.
