Atalanta For Special's double winning debut in the 2024/25 DCPS league
With the Seniors defeating Pavia 4-1 and the Juniors beating Cagliari 3-0
A double winning league debut as both Atalanta For Special sides emerged victorious from their respective 2024/25 DCPS maiden games: while the reigning Regional champions of the Senior outfit (pictured on the cover) imposed themselves 4-1 over Pavia in their Tier-3 MD1 game, the Junior team (pictured below), ran out 3-0 winners from their Tier-4 debut played against Cagliari.
Both fixtures were held at the Bteeinelli Sports Centre in Milan under the watchful eyes of coach Gianmario Lesmo and his contributors, namely Walter Probo, Aurelio Birolini, Leonardo Marcassoli and Alfredo Locati.
DCPS league TIER-3
ATALANTA FOR SPECIAL 4-1 PAVIA - with the Nerazzurri scorers being: Giacomo Probo (brace), Fabien Cardoso and Mateo Virgilito
Couldn't asking for a better league start, Atalanta For Special's Senior claimed the full prize after clinching a clear 4-1 win against a strenuous opposition such as Pavia.
The opening of the game saw the Nerazzurri struggle to find their feet and string the game along due to the opponents' stifling pressing and defensive work, with Atalanta only managing to break the deadlock right past the halfway mark of the first half before doubling just after through Probo (a snooker shot almost brushing the post after a give-and-take with Capitanio) and Cardoso (who converted Francesco Pezzotti's assist). Pavia nonetheless managed to pull one back from a free-kick situation a wink before the halftime whistle.
Nonetheless Atalanta eventually put the game to sleep in the second half courtesy of Virgilito (who restored the two-goals lead) before Probo eventually made it 4-1 to seal the win with a brace.

Another game for the books was the debut, namely the team's rookie game, of Atalanta For Special's Junior side who, after shrugging off the initial stage fright, eventually racked up playing time and put what they've learned and practised during training onto the field. Out of the countless chances created, the Nerazzurri eventually converted three: after the scoring by finalizing Bitetti's pass before Paolo Valota comverted Marco Nosari's angled pass, gianluca Testa came full circle to close the game with an unyielding daisy-cutter.
