2024 Xmas Match: Auction Update as of 7 January
The entire proceeds will go to the Associazione Amici della Pediatria ETS ODV charity
The countdown is officially on, as the charity auction of the 26 "Christmas" shirts - designed for the entire first-team squad and worn during Atalanta's 3-2 win over Empoli on 22 December in the Nerazzurri's last home game of 2024 - will come to a close during the TuttoAtalanta broadcast on Monday 13 January.
As of today, January 7 at 19:00 CET, the total value of payment promises has soared to 36,500 euros.
The initiative is organized in partnership with the regional broadcaster Bergamo TV (channel 15 on digital terrestrial TV and also available via streaming), with all proceeds going to the Associazione Amici della Pediatria through the Atalanta Fund, set up by the club at the Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca Onlus.
Bids can be made at any time via SMS to 335.6969423 or by email at asta@bergamotv.it. Participants can place offers for multiple jerseys (each signed by the respective player), but ultimately, each jersey will have a distinct winner to allow as many fans as possible to take part.
The latest bid updates for all 26 shirts will be posted on TuttoAtalanta and Bergamo TV's social media channels, on the L'Eco di Bergamo website, and here on our website. The next update will be available online on the evening of Wednesday 8 January.
Since 1990, the Associazione Amici della Pediatria ETS ODV charity has been volunteering at Bergamo Hospital (now ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII). The funds raised through the auction of the Christmas Match jerseys will be used to create a new waiting area, "Wait & Play," along the hospital street for children visiting pediatric outpatient clinics for therapies, check-ups, and follow-ups.
The focus during the waiting time will be on play—the child's essential "work" for growth. The activities will be designed for children to enjoy independently, without the need for professional staff or volunteers. This will allow them to explore their skills, engage with others, and foster social connections.
Integrating play into the hospital environment highlights its vital role in a child's life and development.
