2024 Xmas Match: Auction Update as of 10 January
All proceeds will go to the Associazione Amici della Pediatria ETS ODV charity
The clock is ticking, just three days left! On Monday, January 13, during the upcoming episode of TuttoAtalanta, the charity auction of the 26 shirts from the Christmas match will wrap up, with all the special "Christmas" jerseys worn by the first-team squad being awarded to the lucky bidders. These shirts were worn on December 22 during Atalanta-Empoli, where the Nerazzurri triumphed 3-2.
As of Friday, January 10, at 19:00 CET, the total raised through offers has reached 40,500 euros.
This initiative is organized in collaboration with regional broadcaster Bergamo TV (channel 15 on digital terrestrial TV and available via streaming), with all proceeds going to the Associazione Amici della Pediatria through the Atalanta Fund, established by the club at the Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca Onlus.
Bids can be made anytime by sending an SMS to 335.6969423 or emailing asta@bergamotv.it. Participants can bid on multiple jerseys (each signed by the respective player), but each shirt will have a single winner to allow as many fans as possible to participate.
As always, the latest bid updates for all 26 shirts will be shared on TuttoAtalanta, Bergamo TV’s social media channels, the L'Eco di Bergamo website, and here on our official site. The next update will be available online on the evening of Saturday, January 11.
The Associazione Amici della Pediatria ETS ODV, volunteering at Bergamo Hospital (now ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII) since 1990, will use the funds raised from the Christmas Match shirt auction to create a Wait & Play area in the hospital corridor. This space will be dedicated to children visiting the pediatric clinics for treatments, check-ups, and follow-ups.
The goal is to transform waiting time into play—the "work" of a child as they grow.
The activities will be designed for children to engage in independently, without the need for professional staff or volunteers, encouraging them to explore their abilities and interact with others, promoting relationships and socialization.
By integrating play into the hospital environment, the initiative emphasizes its crucial role in a child's development.
