How the Nerazzurri youngsters fared this weekend
The Academy weekend got underway on Saturday with the Priamvera's home win over Monza at the Centro Bortolotti, as Cakolli's strike sealed a 1-0 victory over the Brianzoli. On Sunday in Zingonia, the U16s claimed a 2-1 win over Roma in the first leg of their quarter-final tie, courtesy of goals from Odje and Torrente (pictured celebrating in the cover photo). The U15s’ run, meanwhile, came to an end in the Round of 16 against Fiorentina. After the 3-3 draw in the first leg, the Nerazzurri were edged out in stoppage time in a 2-1 defeat, with Montalbano on target for Atalanta. The U18s will instead be in action on Monday at the Centro Bortolotti against Cremonese, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 CEST.
As for the women’s sides, the U17s opened their National Phase campaign with a 3-2 loss to Parma (on target Norscia and Krafia) in Brembate. Meanwhile, the U15s played out a 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona Women in the Interregional Phase, with Boncioli and Traini on the scoresheet.
