In paying tribute to Rafael Toloi, we can’t brush aside those dates that, while seeming like mere personal milestones, are actually stitched tightly into the fabric of what’s been much more than just a club for the past decade: a home, a family, a true testament not only to his starring role but, above all, to his unique position as a front-row witness to Atalanta’s Nerazzurri saga over these ten years.

The first of these key moments goes way back to August 26, 2015, when Rafael Toloi crossed the ocean for the second time in his career, returning to Italy after his first stint. As the saying goes, “When life hands you a second chance, it’s up to you to make it count.” That’s a motto Toloi has worn like a badge of honor for ten years—first donning the number 3, then, almost as a nod to second chances, switching to number 2—which have both firmly cemented his place in Atalanta’s living history.

In our special “best of” dedicated to the Eternal Captain, we cannot overlook the “first times” and those key milestones that have cemented Rafael Toloi as an indelible figure in the Orobiec saga, thoughtfully organized by theme: from his very first Serie A appearance (an away match at Sassuolo on that unforgettable September 13, 2015), to his maiden league goal for the Nerazzurri, netted at Empoli just two weeks later,
