U23s, Thursday showdown with Picerno
14:30 CET kick-off
The new month kicks off with a midweek fixture: on Thursday, March 5 at 18:00 CET, Atalanta U23s will be in action at the Donato Curcio Stadium against AZ Picerno for Matchday 30 of the league campaign.
The reverse fixture in Caravaggio ended in a resounding 6-2 win for the Nerazzurri. After a 2-2 scoreline at the break, the U23s shifted gears in the second half, firing in four more goals to run away with it.
You can catch the highlights from that clash below.
It’s three wins in a row for Bocchetti’s Nerazzurri, who cruised 6-2 past AZ Picerno in Caravaggio in a true black-and-blue goal fest courtesy of Misitano (2), Manzoni, Vavassori (2) and Riccio.
HOW THE TEAMS FARED IN THE LATEST ROUND
Coach Bocchetti’s side head into the fixture buoyed by a fourth consecutive positive result, having claimed a 2-0 victory in Trapani through goals from Manzoni and Cissé. The Nerazzurri currently sit 12th in the standings on 34 points.
Picerno, for their part, signed off February with a goalless draw at Team Altamura. The Melandrini are 15th in the table on 30 points, four adrift of Atalanta U23s.
