U23s, Salvatore Bocchetti: "Very happy with the win"

Following Atalanta's win over Giana Erminio in the Coppa Italia Serie C Round 1, coach Salvatore Bochetti commented on the Nerazzurri's win in Gorgonzola as follows: “I’m very happy with the win, we were determined to start well. We’re trying to build something meaningful, but we must stay focused and not rest on our laurels.”

Bocchetti added: “Our main objective is to avoid relegation. Beyond that, we’ll see if we can achieve even more along the way. The key is to stay humble, work hard, and ensure these players continue to develop with the aim of eventually moving up to the first team. Having such a deep squad is a real advantage; there’s a strong culture of work within the group, and I’m proud and honoured to coach them.”
