U23s, Salvatore Bocchetti: "Three crucial points"

Following the away success at Foggia, coach Salvatore Bocchetti commented as follows: "We knew it would be have been a tough, physical match, but the lads read it perfectly. Credit to them, it was an outstanding display, especially defensively, an area we needed to improve. We could have closed it out earlier, but that’s never simple. These three points are vital for morale, and now we keep working because there’s still a long road ahead".

He concluded: "We tried to push them higher up the pitch and open up spaces, so we could have closed it out sooner. We’re very happy: it’s a hard-fought victory we’ve been waiting for and they fully deserve it. These three points are crucial, but the season is long and demanding, so we’ll have to fight until the very last day".
