U23s, Salvatore Bocchetti: "Team delivered a strong display"
The coach's post-game debriefing
Following the away setback to Salernitana, Salvatore Bocchetti commented on the game as follows: "We created a lot and could have made better use of our chances, yet I'm very pleased with the boys. Today we had six different players compared to our last match, and they all responded well. I'm proud of them, even though we know we still have room for growth. Some mistakes will need fixing, but we leave with our heads held high and are already focused on the next game.”
Moving on to the game: “Salernitana are a more experienced team than us. Our lads came here with belief, not fear. It's frustrating to walk away empty-handed, but that's part of the game. We put in a solid performance against a strong opponent, and I can only be proud of how the team held their ground. We need to keep working in this direction, and I’m confident the rewards will come as the season moves forward.”
Signing off with his take on the next game against Benevento: "Every opponent is a challenge, and Benevento will be no different. But we’ll go there to give everything on the pitch and take as many points as we can. Our main goal is to help these young players grow, not only as footballers, but foremost as men".
