U23s, Salvatore Bocchetti: "A tough pitch, but more focus could’ve done more"

Following the goal-fest draw at Siracusa, coach Salvatore Bocchetti commented as follows: "We came here to win, but we knew we’d be up against a team that’s always strong at home. It’s a shame, because we had several chances to close it out early; then a few lapses on our part allowed them to capitalize. With a bit more focus, we could have created more, especially since they were very open going forward. We’ll take this point and keep pushing to reach the playoffs as long as it’s possible."

Closing off with a preview of the next match on Wednesday in Caravaggio: "The game against Cavese will be crucial: a win could put us just a few points off the playoff zone. For now, we’ll hold on to this result against a strong side, but we’ll work on tightening up defensively ahead of the coming fixtures."
