U23s, Francesco Modesto: "We kept our belief until the final whistle"

As points were shared in Caravaggio, coach Francesco Modesto commented on the Padova draw as follows:

"Today's game was played on equal terms: while we created plenty of chances throughout the first half, they did a good job at shutting down every opening. So much so that we ended up conceding a goal in the only chance they had. Yet, we shrugged the cold shower off and kept both possession and our belief until the final whistle".

Wrapping up the debriefing with his thoughts on Vlahović: "Simply put, Vanja is our target man upfront. Despite not having many chances today, he has a knack for knowing how to make the most of the few that come his way. I'm really pleased to see him back to scoring ways".
