U16s: Atalanta crowned champions after defeating Milan 3-2!

Thanks to an astonishing choral display, Atalanta U16s sew up a 3-2 comeback win over Milan to paint the Riviera delle Palme stadium in San Benedetto del Tronto black-and-blue as coach Gambirasio's lads lift the first historic "Under 16 Serie A e B" league's title in the Club's history.

Despite Milan taking an early lead, the Nerazzurri racked up one goal chance after the other as time went by: after Gasparello's close brush, Nova and Damiano (the latter in three different occasion) threatened the opposing defence. The second half saw coach Gambirasio's lads turn the match around: first with Michieletto, who levelled the score with a cynical finish after snatching the ball from the opposing keeper thanks to his relentless pressing. Then Isoa unleashed all his aerial superiority to first give Atalanta the lead before making it 3-1 with two powerful headers from corner-kicks. Despite the Rossoneri's retaliation proved itself successful as the opponents managed to pull one back, Atalanta pulled it off in the end and lifted their first U16s Scudetto.
