U15s: first day of training in Zingonia

Today, Friday August 16, marked the season's start for Atalanta Under 15s, who have gathered at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia for their first session of the new campaign.

Starting off from the sidelines, Alfonso Esposito joins Atalanta after his previous 8-year stint at AlbinoLeffe's Youth System, where he garnered precious coaching experience with a similar age bracket: "I'm honoured for the chance the Club has granted ma and I'm humbled to become an active part of this institution. I can't wait to get to know the whole team. My coaching principles? The playing style will have a prominent role, regardless of the results. The way I see it, a pro-active playing style is always conducive to good results".

The roster will comprise the class of 2010, who will thus make its very own debut in the National championship: "It will be a key step for these lads, who approach their first feature in a fully-fledged competition at a turning age, given the complete overhaul in their habits, including their day-to-day life also off the pitch. Additionally, considering the out-of-region players that will join the group, my job will also revolve around softening the homesickness of all those lads who will feel the distance from their hometown. As such, the pre-season camp in Lovere will be pivotal in closing ranks, making the new players feel included and getting to know each other better".

THE SCHEDULE

After undergoing the first training sessions at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia, the team will travel to Lovere on 18 August for a training camp that will last until the 23rd of August. The Nerazzurri will then participate in the "Paolo Valenti Summer Cup 2024" tournament in Trention, where they've been drafted in the group stage with Bologna, Südtirol and Trento. For their first league commitment, the Nerazzurri will host Mantova on September 15th.
