The official presentation of Thomas Kristensen took place at the Mino Favini Conference Room at the New Balance Academy.

The new Nerazzurri defender was welcomed by Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli, who also provided an update on the transfer market, starting with the rumours coming from England: “It’s a source of pride when important clubs show an interest in our players, because it’s a testament to the quality of the squad we have, and that gives us great confidence for the future. Paradoxically, the transfer window is still a long way from closing, so we always need to be alert and ready to seize any opportunities that may arise, in line with our reality and the path we are on. We’re convinced that we already have a competitive team, made up of important players.”

Then the Sporting Director introduced Atalanta's new signing, who joined the Club from Udinese: "We’ve invested in a very young player who we believe can do very well. We have a great coach in Sarri, who will certainly be able to put him in the best possible position to play in a back four as well."

The floor was then given to Thomas Kristensen, who expressed his delight at joining Atalanta: “I’m very happy to be here. I’m joining a great and very ambitious club that has achieved some very important results, including in European competitions. I immediately felt that this was the right choice for me. I can continue to develop a lot here. As for my position, it’s true that I played in a back three at Udinese, but I’m also very familiar with a back four, having played in one with Denmark’s U21s. The principles are ultimately the same, and I can’t wait to adapt to this new system of play.”
