Sunday Showdown with Feyenoord for the De Kuip Cup

Atalanta's first international test of pre-season awaits on Sunday 2 August, when the Nerazzurri travel to Rotterdam to face Feyenoord at Feyenoord Stadium (kick-off 15:00 CEST).

The match will be played for the inaugural De Kuip Cup and will serve as Feyenoord's curtain-raiser ahead of the new Eredivisie season, which gets under way a week later. The fixture will consist of two regulation halves of 45 minutes, followed by an additional 30-minute period regardless of the score after 90 minutes. Should the teams still be level at the end of the extra period, the trophy will be decided by a penalty shootout.

For Atalanta, it will be the first in a series of high-profile international tests leading up to the club's first competitive fixture of the season: the first leg of the UEFA Conference League play-offs. Following the trip to Feyenoord, Maurizio Sarri's side will travel to Gelsenkirchen to face Schalke 04 in a friendly on Saturday 8 August before returning home to take on Athletic Club in the 27th Trofeo Achille e Cesare Bortolotti on Friday 14 August, the first major occasion of the new season at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo.
