Sunday evening was unique for Merih Demiral, as over sixty Turkish compatriots, who - it goes without saying - are die-hard fans of the Atalanta defender, came to the Gewiss Stadium to watch the Atalanta v Salernitana match in the main stand.
To celebrate the Turkey international, they displayed a massive banner that Merih could appreciate from the pitch. And the Turkish fans were also able to watch their idol on the move, as Gian Piero Gasperini threw Demiral on in the 58th minute, triggering a standing ovation.
