Retegui+Pašalić to hoist the 3rd place flag!

Bologna swept 2-0 aside at the Gewiss Stadium

Leading the black-and-blue uptick with their first-half goals, Retegui and Pašalić sink Bologna 2-0 at the Gewiss Stadium on MD32 and propel Atalanta to 61 points in the standings, securing the Nerazzurri's foothold on the 3rd place.

Going pedal to the medal from the very onset, the Nerazzurri found the back of the net in under 3 minutes: set up by a pinpoint through ball from Pašalić, Bellanova sliced through the opposing defence before playing on to Retegui, who delivered the breakthrough with a point-blank blow at the near post. On 21 minutes came the second of the game with Pašalić, prodding into the net Retegui's cross from the byline after Atalanta's 32 muscled through his marker in a feat of sheer grit. Then, a well-alert Zappacosta deflected Orsolini's retaliation from a tight angle out for a corner. Testing the waters right before the half-hour mark, Éderson fired slightly over the bar. Coming knocking in the 35th, Ndoye saw his edge-of-the-box effort deflected onto the post before Hien eventually swept the ball away for a corner.

The second half kicked off with Carnesecchi keeping Dominguez's attempt at bay. Despite the visitors ramping up the pressure, the black-and-blue defence turtled up to stamp out all Felsineans' attempts and set a paramount win as the Gewiss Stadium bout culminates in a 2-0 triumph for the Nerazzurri
