Primavera Roma 0-1 Atalanta
A Bono's magic earns Nerazzurri the first win of the season
At the "Tre Fontane Stadium" in Rome, the Nerazzurri claimed their first win of the season: on the 2025/26 Primavera 1 championship “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” matchday 2, coach Bosi’s team grabbed its first three points of the season with a 1-0 win over Roma.
Atalanta got off to the perfect start, breaking the deadlock early on with a stunning free-kick from Bono. The number 21 curled the ball past Zelezny at the far post, leaving the Roma goalkeeper with no chance. Roma looked for a quick response in the 13th minute with Romano, whose dangerous effort was saved by Zanchi. On the 30th minute, Atalanta came inches away from doubling their lead: Valdivia threaded a superb ball in behind for Cakolli, whose right-footed strike beat the keeper but crashed against the post. The first half ended with Atalanta up by one.
In the second half, Roma pushed forward, with Maccaroni looking for the equalizer, but Zanchi easily stopped the scissors kick from the Giallorossi’s number 28. In the 67th minute, Zelezny saved Roma from a possible Nerazzurri second goal with a last-ditch clearance on Bono’s close-range attempt. A few minutes later, Cakolli and Steffanoni created a double chance, but the Nerazzurri’s efforts weren’t enough to extend their lead. In the last few minutes, Di Nunzio tried his luck with a long range shot but didn't manage to score. In the end Nerazzurri grabbed their first three points of the season with a 1-0 victory over Roma.
