Primavera, Empoli 2-1 Atalanta

Gasparello’s penalty was not enough to prevent the Nerazzurri Primavera from slipping to defeat away to Empoli. At the Centro Sportivo Petroio in Vinci, the hosts claimed a 2-1 win in Matchday 7 of the 2026/27 Primavera 1 “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” season.

The first half was evenly balanced, with few chances at either end. Empoli threatened twice through Orlandi, with Bugli making a good save on one occasion. The game burst into life after the break, with Mežnar putting the hosts ahead just two minutes into the second half. The Nerazzurri responded immediately, with captain Colombo coming close to an equaliser. However, Empoli doubled their lead in the 62nd minute through Babalola.

Atalanta refused to give up and got back into the game in the 72nd minute when Perillo won a penalty, which Gasparello confidently converted with a precise finish into the corner. The Nerazzurri pushed for an equaliser until the final whistle, but the score remained unchanged as Empoli secured a 2-1 victory.
