Primavera, Cremonese 1-0 Atalanta
Injury time goal proves decisive
After back-to-back wins over Inter and Sampdoria, Atalanta's U-20 side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Cremona at the CS Amadio Soldi in Cremona on Matchday 36 of the 2024/25 Primavera 1 2024/25 "Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti".
The match between Cremonese and Atalanta got off to a lively start, with the Nerazzurri coming close to opening the scoring early on through Fiogbe, whose shot was tipped onto the crossbar by Tommasi. Simonetto went close in the 26th minute with a left-footed shot from the edge of the area that was deflected out for a corner by the Cremona goalkeeper. Fiogbe went close again on the half-hour mark, hitting the post, before the home side threatened from long range.
In the second half, both sides had chances to break the deadlock, with Simonetto trying his luck from a free-kick, while Gabbiani was denied by a well-alert Zanchi on 59 minutes. Although Simonetto and Baldo threatened from distance a few minutes later, it was Gabbiani himself who put Cremona ahead in stoppage time to seal victory for the hosts at the CS Amadio Soldi in Cremona.
