Spoils were shared in Assemini as the 2024-2025 Primavera 1 “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” league between Cagliari and Atalanta culminated in a honours even.

Despite both teams giving tit for tat on several occasion, the first half proved itself a balanced affair. The main highlight of the first fraction came into being on 18 minutes, when the hosts took the lead, at least momentarily, on 18 minutes, before having their goal ruled out due to offside in the build-up. With no further notable chances to report, the teams entered the halftime break still level at 0-0.

In the second half, the Nerazzurri's tactics proved themselves fruitful as Atalanta earned a penalty following a defensive slip-up from the hosts: unrelenting from the spot, Simonetto broke the deadlock to fire coach Bosi's U19s ahead. Atalanta almost doubled their lead moments later through Bonanomi, whose effort ended up chipping the goalpost. Cagliari equalized on 81 minutes, though as Bolzan's ranged effort got the match back on level terms. With the scoreboard remaining unbudged until the final whistle, the game ended on a 1-1 stalemate.
