Primavera: Atalanta 4-0 Monza
Back-to-back wins to vault to 39 points in the standings
Three in a row for Atalanta: extending their streak with a dazzling stroll over Monza on MD31, the Nerazzurri walk out the Centro Bortolotti with a 4-0 win in the bag.
The Nerazzurri got off to a flying start when Steffanoni caught his opponents out in midfield and squared for Bonanomi, who fired home from close range on 13 minutes. Bosi's men came close to doubling their lead a few minutes later, first through Steffanoni, who was denied by a crucial clearance, and then Artesani, whose close-range effort was turned off target by Vailati. Simonetto also tried his luck, seeing his left-footed effort from outside the area hit the crossbar, before Artesani threatened again in the dying minutes of the first half.
As soon as the second half set in, the Nerazzurri struck quickly and doubled their lead with Fiogbe, slotting into an empty net Simonetto's pinpoint left-flanked pass towards the heart with a feline pounce on a rebound. With Atalanta relentlessly stifling the visitors, the third came in the 58th with a stop-and-shoot finish from Baldo towards the far post. Although Comi also tried to etch his name on the scoresheet, the crossbar stood once again in Atalanta's way to deny the Nerazzurri no. 39. Nonetheless, the hosts' fouth was nothing but a foregone conclusion as Galafassi put the game to bed, sealing Atalanta's 4-0 landslide 5 minutes after stepping onto the pitch.
