Primavera: Atalanta 2-0 Lazio
Second-half goals from Baldo and Cakolli secure the Nerazzurri's win
Fresh from their UEFA Youth League trip to Eintracht Frankfurt, Coach Bosi’s Nerazzurri got back to winning ways at home, beating Lazio 2–0 on matchday 13 of the 2025/26 Primavera 1 “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti”. Ramaj and his teammates put in a solid performance to claim all three points against the Biancocelesti.
Lazio came out on the front foot, dictating the early tempo. Gelli first went close with a powerful right-footed strike that shaved the far post, then threatened again around the 20-minute mark, only for Zanchi to pull off a key save. The Nerazzurri tried to hit back by looking for their attacking duo, Baldo and Camara, on several occasions, but Lazio’s backline stayed switched on and dealt with the danger. In the dying minutes of the first half, Coach Bosi’s boys nearly grabbed the opener as Baldo’s long-range effort was deflected wide by a timely intervention from the Lazio keeper.
Atalanta broke the deadlock early in the second half, taking the lead in the 54th minute. After being picked out by Artesani on the left, Baldo cut inside and drilled a clinical finish into the far corner to make it 1–0. Six minutes later, the Nerazzurri doubled their lead on the counter: Baldo drove the move forward and squared perfectly for Cakolli, who tapped home from close range to seal a well-worked team goal. In the closing stages, Atalanta pushed for a third with Arrigoni going close with a right-footed effort, and Cakolli threatening again with his left shortly before the 78th minute. The Nerazzurri nevertheless saw the game out comfortably, sealing a deserved 2–0 win over the Biancocelesti in Zingonia.
Next up, on Wednesday 3 December, Atalanta host Virtus Entella at the Centro Bortolotti in the round of 32 of the 2025/26 Coppa Italia Primavera, with kick-off at 14:30 CET.
