Primavera: Atalanta 0-1 Napoli
Setback at the Centro Bortolotti
After their UEFA Youth League encounter with Olympique de Marseille, Atalanta Under-20s were narrowly defeated by Napoli at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia on Matchday 11 of the 2025/26 Primavera 1 “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” campaign.
The Nerazzurri started brightly, going close early on as Baldo was denied by the Napoli goalkeeper after a quick counter-attack, and Maffessoli threatened with a header from a corner. On 20 minutes, Baldo once again tested Spinelli, while the visitors responded through Ciammaruta, whose strike towards the far post drifted wide. In the closing stages of the first half, Ramaj and his teammates pushed hard in search of the opener, but the deadlock held.
Napoli took the lead just four minutes into the second half, as Smeraldi turned in from close range following a free-kick. The Nerazzurri looked to react through Valdivia, whose long-range effort was comfortably dealt with by the visiting keeper. Despite Atalanta’s pressure in the final stages — with Valdivia threatening again from a set piece on 70 minutes and Gobbo going close — the match ended 1-0 in favour of Napoli.
