Pre-season friendly: Atalanta 3-0 Pro Sesto
El Bilal Touré's first outing with the Nerazzurri
Today's pre-season friendly against Pro Sesto, a team competing in the Serie C league, saw the Nerazzurri defeat the opposition by three goals at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia.
The warm-up game was El Bilal Touré's first outing with the Nerazzurri, as the Malian striker featured as a starter against Pro Sesto. Bonfanti fired in the opening goal on 4 minutes from a Bakker corner and the Dutchman himself doubled the Atalanta lead in the 54th minute as he connected first time with a Latte Lath pass to make it 2-0. Gasperini's men almost added another in the 75th minute through Muriel, whose effort bounced off the post but then Scalvini did make it 3-0 in the 87th minute with a header from Koopmeiners' corner kick.
Come tomorrow, Thursday 27 July, the squad will continue their preparations at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia as a behind-closed-doors training session will take place in the morning.
