Parma win in Bergamo
The visitors run out winners at the New Balance Arena
Parma claimed a 3-0 victory at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo on Matchday 10 of the 2026/27 Serie A Enilive season, in a game that saw Atalanta create several shooting opportunities but ultimately fail to find the back of the net.
Atalanta carved out the first chance of the game in the 5th minute, as De Ketelaere found space to surge forward and sent a low left-footed drive narrowly wide of the far post. Atalanta continued to pile on the pressure, with Krstović finding the net in the 8th minute, only for his effort to be ruled out for a marginal offside against Zappacosta in the build-up. Three minutes later, Pašalić saw his goalbound effort blocked by a Parma defender. De Ketelaere was causing further problems for the Parma defence in the 14th minute, driving through the inside-left channel before sending an angled effort narrowly wide. On the quarter-hour mark, Obrić produced a well-timed recovery to halt Valeri's attacking run. Atalanta also threatened from distance, with Éderson going close in the 19th minute as his powerful effort from 25 metres flew narrowly wide. On the half-hour mark, Zappacosta threatened with a surging run down the right, ending with a dangerous cross-shot that flashed across the face of goal. A minute later, Rowe found Krstović, whose effort on the turn took a deflection and went behind for a corner. Against the run of play, it was Parma who broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, as Fabbian headed home following a corner taken by Sierro. Atalanta came close to equalising in the second minute of first-half stoppage time, when Zalewski's first-time volley was kept out by Daffara.
The second half opened with Parma doubling their lead in the 47th minute, as Zappacosta unfortunately diverted Touré's driven cross into his own net while trying to intercept the ball ahead of Lontani. In the 55th minute, Rowe did well to create space for himself inside the box, but Daffara was alert and tipped his effort behind for a corner. Parma added a third in the 58th minute, as Lontani found the bottom corner with a shot from distance. De Ketelaere went close with a header in the 61st minute, sending the ball narrowly wide. In the 71st minute, Daffara was called into action again to deny Krstović. Parma then broke forward at the other end, with Ordonez sending his effort wide. Atalanta came close to pulling a goal back in the 79th minute, when Pašalić met Idele's cross with a header that grazed the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Bernasconi also tried his luck with a right-footed effort, but Daffara was once again on hand to make the save.
With Thursday's UEFA Conference League fixture already on the horizon, the Nerazzurri will turn their attention to their next challenge on Tuesday, with a morning training session behind closed doors scheduled at the Centro Bortolotti in Zingonia.
