Palladino's press conference ahead of Atalanta v Roma

Raffaele Palladino spoke to the media on the eve of Atalanta’s home fixture against Roma on Matchday 18 of the 2025/26 Serie A Enilive season. The fixture kicks off tomorrow, Saturday 3 January, at 20:45 CET at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo: "I want to see a proactive Atalanta side. Picking up a win against a team challenging for the top spots and giving our fans a big performance would be important. We're up against a side in good form, one that concedes very little. That said, we need to play with confidence and bring real intensity to our game."

Coach Palladino then added: "We know Gasperini's footballing philosophy well and everything he achieved in Bergamo with the club. That said, our focus is firmly on the present. We're aware that we're a solid, ambitious club and a strong side. Atalanta compete on three fronts — Serie A, the Champions League and the Coppa Italia. We have to look ahead with ambition and strong motivation.”
