A month of big comebacks: from the Gewiss Stadium to the UCL

Warsaw, Lecce, Turin, Milan: for those who saw the writings on the wall, the fourth matches from the month just past chartered, not just in a symbolic but also and foremost in a geographical way, the gradual homecoming in Bergamo. Yet, also due to the current International break, the Nerazzurri's home debut for the 2024/25 season will have to wait a week or so.

Gasperini's men will hit the pitches of a fully revamped and dressed-to-the-nines Gewiss Stadium in the early afternoon of Sunday, September 15 (kick-off at 15:00 CEST); picking up the thread exactly where they left off back on June 2 as Fiorentina, the Nerazzurri's last homebody opponents last season, stop off in Bergamo.

Keeping up with the theme of "comeback", Thursday, September 19 will mark the official return of the UEFA Champions League: back on Europe's most coveted stage, the reigning UEL champions will open up their run in the newly-unveiled "League Stage" by welcoming Arsenal in Bergamo (lights on at 21:00 CEST).

Back again to the Gewiss Stadium for the third time in a week, Atalanta are bound to host newly-promoted side Como, back to the Italian top-flight after 21 years, in the closing act of MD5: the Monday night against the Larians calls for a 20:45 CEST kick-off on September 23.

Lastly, bringing down the curtains on a bundle of home fixtures that would have otherwise turned September into a homebody month, the Nerazzurri will be off to the Renato Dall'Ara stadium in Bologna: save the date for Sunday, September 28 at 20:45 CEST, the match against the Felsinei awaits!
