Our fixture list for August
Six games between friendlies, the UEFA Super Cup and the Serie A's return
After recovering the feeling with the green box through the 2-2 draw in the friendly played against AZ Alkmaar on July 27, "back to basics" will be the name of the game for the Nerazzurri in August: between International friendlies and the contention for the first tournament of the season at play, the team is bound to play every 5 days in the first fortnight.
Starting off with the last two test-matches to wrap the summer preparations up, Parma and St. Pauli will be in the cards as Atalanta's next informal challengers: both to be faced away, Gasperini's men will cross path with the Serie B and the 2. Bundesliga champions on August 4 and 9 (in an 18:00 CEST and 18:30 CEST kick-off) respectively.
Come Wednesday August 14 at 21:00 CEST, all eyes will be on the National Stadium in Warsaw: in the Polish capital Atalanta will act as the official torchbearer of the 2024-2025 season as the Nerazzurri vie Real Madrid for the UEFA Super Cup.
After five days off, Atalanta will chart their path in the rebranded Serie A Enilive with the late Monday game against Lecce scheduled for August 19: back to the stadium which saw the Nerazzurri etch their names on the upcoming and revamped Champions League shortlist last season, the "Via del Mare" will open its gates for an 18:30 CEST kick-off.
Back on the road towards Torino for the second of their three back-to-back outings, the team will take it to the Olimpico Grande Torino pitch as the Week 2 game against the Maroons calls for another 18:30 CEST clash on Sunday 25.
The last act of our first month back in the office is scheduled for the Friday 30, with the early game against Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan bringing the curtains down on August. RSVP at 20:45 CEST as Atalanta's seasonal "first at la Scala (del Calcio)" and the maiden 2024/25 Serie A's Big Match calls for a strictly black-and-blue dress code.
