Born in Mainz on 9 February 1995, the Croatian midfielder is blowing out 31 candles on his cake today. In his eighth season in Nerazzurri colours since joining Atalanta in the summer of 2018, Mario has racked up 324 appearances across Serie A, the Coppa Italia and European competitions, scoring 64 goals and supplying 44 assists along the way, a tally that places him fourth in Atalanta’s all-time appearance rankings.
