Lookman exorcises Milan to make it 9 Serie A wins in a row!
Rossoneri defeated 2-1 with De Ketelaere exacting the ex's law to open the scoring
An (almost) buzz-beater Lookman goal leads Atalanta to their 9th consecutive league win: with the hosts imposing themselves 2-1 in the Serie A Enilive MD15 homecoming, the Nerazzurri have moved up to 34 points in the standings.
A lively game from the get-go, the visitors threatened first with Pulisic (thwarted by a great Carnesecchi save) but the hosts' retorted in a matter of minutes, as Pašalić blasted the ball high after a great Éderson solo. The logjam was short-lived though, as the Nerazzurri took the lead on 12 minutes through Charles de Ketelaere, who headed de Roon's free-kick into the net to make it 1-0 in Bergamo. Milan levelled the score 10 minutes later with a point-blank Morata finish on Leao's assist. After Pašalić tested Maignan on Bellanova's pass in the 35th, on 43 minutes came Lookman, whose curler ended up slightly wide off target.
In with the first chance of the second half, Atalanta floated the offensive trial ballon on 59 minutes, when Bellanova's volley following de Ketelaere's mazy run on the left flank bounced wide off target. In the 79th minute, Lookman's effort was deflected for a corner by Maignan. After his 86th-minute attempt was tipped out for a corner by Maignan, the third time was the charm for the Lookman, who left his mark on the game with his header on Kolašinac's brush in the follow-up. Well into injury time, Atalanta neared the third with Retegui, thwarted by a Maignan save in the end.
