"Let's talk about six": 2-1 comeback win to vanquish Udinese

2nd-half rally thanks to Pašalić and an OG favoured by Bellanova

Coming back from behind in the second half, the Nerazzurri saw the Gewiss Stadium off by toppling Udinese 2-1 and extending their winning streak to 6 consecutive Serie A Enilive games. As a further highlight of the 2024-2025 MD12, with De Roon playing his 282nd top-flight game for the Bergamo Club, the Dutchman has now become Atalanta's most-capped player in the Serie A.

The Nerazzurri's first chance of the game came in the 7th minute through Pašalić, whose cross-shot was saved by Okoye. At the other end, Carnesecchi was alert and denied both Lovric and Davis. On 13 minutes, Ruggeri's low shot was parried by Okoye into the path of Retegui, who nodded home only to have the goal disallowed by VAR as Lookman, who was offside, touched the ball. The visitors responded five minutes later when Payero hit the crossbar with a right-footed curler. On 22 minutes, Carnesecchi got down to push Tauvin's shot out for a corner from the edge of the area. Udinese also had a goal disallowed in the 26th minute for a foul on De Roon by Davis. The deadlock was broken in the third minute of stoppage time through Kamara, who hit a stunning long-range strike.

The visitors opened the second half on the offensive as Thauvin threatened twice in close succession. Topping off a flawless choral display, the Nerazzurri levelled on 56 minutes with Pašalić, who rewarded Bellanova's mazy run across the right flank by converting our wingback's pass with a winning paw in the heart of the box to level the scores in Bergamo. Hogging the spotlight once again, Bellanova completed the comeback as his low cross proved itself conducive to Udinese's own goal. 73 minutes in and another chance for Atalanta, this time with Brescianini, who finalized out off-target. With the comeback complete, the Nerazzurri claimed their 6th back-to-back league triumph.
